Jennifer Schober, MA is a literary coach with years of proven experience in the publishing field. As an agent with Spencerhill Associates, Ltd. Jennifer sold over 250 books to publishers—including HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Random House, Penguin, Zondervan, St. Martin’s Press, Kensington, Amazon, Harlequin, and Entangled—and developed talent from debut writers to New York Times, USA Today and KINDLE bestselling authors. She has extensive experience with traditional and electronic book publishing, as well as hands-on experience self-publishing clients on platforms such as Kindle and Nook.
Jennifer’s inside knowledge of the publishing industry, years of coaching authors, and earlier training as a psychotherapist perfectly position her to provide expert advice and in-depth coaching support to clients. Her unique approach to helping authors achieve success combines a professional focus on sustainable career development with a commitment to supporting the creative and psychosocial well-being of her—whether they are seeking to identify and develop their innate capabilities as a writer, manage stress related to their work, or bring their writing career to the next level in an ever more challenging book market. Jennifer in particular specializes in teaching creatives self-care through multiple techniques such as focusing and mindfulness. Her steadfast belief is an empowered writer is an expressive writer; and a happier, more productive one too!
Jennifer left the agent life when she felt called to refocus her life toward her family. She and her husband bought the Schober family homestead est. in 1940 and now lives on the farm with her husband Chris, dog Maude, a huge garden and a crazy flock of chickens.
